300 Spartan Training

Most of you folks around here already know there is no magic that will get you in shape. This movie is causing a major buzz in my neck of the woods. How did they do it??

How did these out of shape cookie dough looking high maintenance hollywood folk turn into men and women of steel?? Sorry no magic answer. No secret to be had here. They followed a full body training system and did a "zone" diet full article here

Pretty interesting stuff you guys/gals may like it a lot. Hopefully noone already posted this.

Yea, read this and saw some vids from their training sessions... Tough looking indeed...

I'd like to point out tho, that none of the actors or numerous stunt men in this movie were cookie dough lookin from the get... Most of them are well-trained men in their thirties... Not to take away from their accomplishment, but I think it's a valid point...

yeah i've been reading a lot about their training, and gym jones is some pretty intense stuff. I've done a few of their posted workouts in the past and wow...kicked my booty.

ya know i saw the movie this weekend and afterwards i told my b/f yeah i liked it but i would have rather seen a documentary of the training they did to get into shape for the movie.

Gymgirl I think your all set when it comes to hardcore training. Half the stuff you have been through makes me wince.

I see your point Khaine.

I see this movie has heated up around my side of things. I hope this sets people (outside of this forum) on the path of hitting the gym and good nutrition and giving up the immortal search of the easy 1-2-3 magic routine

I hope

thanks ty.

and i agree, i too hope that this gets people motivated and wanting to work hard to get into shape, however I've seen interviews with the cast who went on and on about how tough the workouts were and how after the movie wrapped they stopped training completely. unfortunately i think this might scare people away from the gym and pedal to the metal training. i hope i'm wrong though...
