So many ex-NFL linemen die at an early age because of this.

Lol you think reza zadeh only eats 4000 calories a day? 4000 barely keeps me at my current weight and im barely 220.

Ok... most of them aren't just "overweight." They are obese. Yeah Mariusz has used steroids but not everyone gets bad side effects years after steroid use. Look at Hulk Hogan and Schwarzenegger still kickin'. The money part was about him being able to afford the best quality foods and supplements. If you really think you can't have a conversation with me then don't. No need to get short.

You clearly haven't been to a major powerlifting meet. Go to one and then tell me "most of them aren't just overweight, they are obese". That statement tells me you are uninformed.

True, I've never went to one because I'm not into powerlifting. I've watched them on TV though and yeah the guys have massive amounts of muscle which is great, good for them, but they also do have a lot of fat ontop. Other powerlifters might not consider them obese but just think about all the extra weight they have put onto a skinny twig of a man and you get the picture. I didn't mean to start an arguement I was just simply saying that I believe most powerlifters will end up the way a lot of retired NFL linemen do . I saw a video in health class a few years ago in high school where they interviewed a bunch of retired football players and it was sad. They said about how when they played they were healthy because they were getting a lot of cardio in at practices and games and stuff but after they stopped playing and stopped getting any cardio their health declined at an extreme rate because they couldn't stop eating like they had for so long.

The guys that are huge and have fat on top probably have less body fat than you think they do. It looks like they have more because they have alot of muscle underneathe pushing the fat out.
Nobody is saying there isn't some pretty fat powerlifters. The thing is that MOST powerlifters are not fat. Go to an APF nationals meet and see for yourself.
And yes, when you retire, you have t o understand that you can no longer eat like a horse. That is a separate issue. If output goes down, so must input to keep you balanced.

Thats because he has breasts . You have to pick Brad over him and practically every woman in the world finds himsexy.
Me personally im more an Arnie or Cortell type physique.
those are some impressive lifts shown but I do believe a valid point is being made about the weight on some lifters. However it appears there are those like Tate copping on and getting in great shape and improving their health and improving the rep of the sport.

I'd rather look like Micky Mouse than Donald Duck.
Yeah, that's how silly this thread has become.

Since Paul Anderson was mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, I want to share a classic video clip that I stumbled upon of him.
Enjoy!

And I stumbled on this one, a 584 lb. C&J. How far away are we from a 600 lb. C&J. I was talking to my Dad yesterday and he remembers when John Davis became the first to C&J 400 lbs. Now we have a Chinese woman who did that in 2004.
