i did a google on "US powerlifting team" and the top hit is the 2000/2001 team roster. the most frequently mentioned terms are "high school" and "paralympics".
http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid...ifting+team%22
therefore, if it hasn't been disbanded (there seems to be something about an investigation for steroids), there is only a US powerlifting team during summer olympic years, the next one being 2006 if my math isn't off.
he didn't say there was never a US powerlifting team, he said there ISN'T a US powerlifting team. technically, one needs to specify "member of the 2000/2001 powerlifting team", etc, since the team isn't the same for each olympic.
never mind all that, you were just being incredibly rude to a very nice person.

Thanks for the heads up by the way on the status of the team.

what i miss?
once a year the US puts some athlethes together to compete in the ipf (international powerlifting federation). but as far as that being a year round team, no. it is composed of some athletes who compete in the usapl (single ply, tested fed). usapl is one of maybe 20+ feds in pling. the athletes are different every year and do represent the usa. however most of those athletes are already on a team here in the states. and it is far from having the best US lifters competing on the team. although there are some very good lifters that compete in the ipf, the wpo is the big boys and gilrs folowed by the apf. both multiply feds and non-tested.
brian siders is by far the top, tested, singly ply guy in the world right now. he is the shw ipf champ 2 years running. he competes with team quest.
hmmmm jes loooked back at my email and notice you called me an idiot darkA...... why you jump on me for making a statement that you didnt know was true or not? you compete in pling? you compete in anything?
is this really your b-day? April 15, 1988. your 17 years old? =0l

I'm quick to pull the trigger but in this case i retract my comment as you're not an idiot.
Excuse me, though, im right on 90% of the time with my comments.
I don't compete in powerlifting. I do high school wrestling and may start competing after i finish hs (for fun).

I am a powerlifter but as far as competing, i don't.
My best lifts:
Bench: 280 touch and go. Going for 300 raw very soon.
Squat: 405
Deadlift(sumo: 455 and trying for 500 in the near future.
And no this forum does not have a wrestling section.
Im not sure if the 900 comment was directed at my total or not so thats the only reason im posting my lifts.

Its way past when i should go to sleep so that **** flew completely over my head.
I am 210 right now and trying to get down to 189 for wrestling season.
I have a few old clips that used to be on here. There are also some older pictures of me.
I am underestimating myself for the squat and for the bench as well maybe. You can check out my recent PR's in the PR section.
As far as videos of my maxouts i have none. If you really want some i can post them as soon as i film it. I have no exaggerations here. I have in fact deadlifted more than 455 but it was on a hex.
