Dark I thought you were stuck around 405 or somethin on your dead? Since when you squat 405? That's awesome. I thought you was around the lower to mid 300s.
I for one would love to see your videos. I think more people should post them up around here honestly.

i've often wished there was a video section, particularly when someone's trying to explain a totally different form then the usual, such as metal militia benching or zercher squatting.

I agreed. And, a "member's video" section. Not just an informational videos section like we sorta got now.

well I'll be the first is y'all like, Ima fight in the Korean national uni tkd champs in a month or so and after that (and the ridiculous training involved) I think I wil be squatting pretty good, I will shoot for a max and film it and post it here.
Then we can all see what a skinny girlie man looks like when he squats a skinny girlie weight with probably ridiculourly bad form.
The point of all this ? ... mods lets make a vids section for some decent lifters to post in before I have to put up my pathetic (mis)attempts here .
Great idea methinks.
peace

No way man lol. If i was stuck on 405 still that would be like 3 months at the same weight.
I do assistance exercises with deadlift with like 345 now and working sets with up to 400.
The low 300 pound squat you are talking about was at the end of my cutting cycle. I sure hope that my bench and squat are not 50 pounds apart most of the time! lol.
I can oly squat around 300 but my regular squat is much more. I was using a 16-18 inch box some time after doing gvt and i was doing singles up to 405 no problem. I am sure a regular squat would be different but ive gotten stronger since then as well and i was only doing singles before.,

Lol when i drop to 189 and even if i dont make it(whatever i get down to) here is my promise that videos are going up of when i do my final maxes before my wrestling season.
If nothing else i'll try to tape some working sets. Hell tomarrow i've got a free day. How about some clean pulls, low box squats, and possible a little sumo deadlift work taped?
The 455 deadlift is an approximation based on a chart we have in our hs. I have not maxed in 2 months i think in any lift, unless you consider westside maxing which i dont.
Once again, ill get some pulls in tomarrow and if i feel like putting on the plates ill do a heavy set or two.
On the bad side though, today after speed bench i did 60 degree incline db presses and i could barely rep the 60's for 7 and when i got to 70's i only did one rep.
Looks like i know what i gotta work.

What chart?
You know man, one of the guys at my gym was tellin me (he now pulls 635 and he's a 198r and a clean lifter all his life) that he at one time, could pull 475 for 3 but couldnt pull 500.
I can pull 500 but i struggled with 405 for 3 before i ever started doing sets of 3 about a month ago (tomorrow I'm going 425 2x3).
So i know it sounds weird but it doesnt work out that way where someone could say "well i can pull 400 for 3 so i can prolly pull 455". Strangely the body will adapt to either situation. That's why there's bodybuilders out there who can pull 400 for 20 reps and can't pull 545.
No matter what you can pull it's better than most people and you're only 17 dude, SEVENTEEN! You're going to be somethins pecial if you keep at it. I hope you compete as you get older.

Here's a tip on bench, take it or leave it. This comes from big Clay Brandenburg...
Do incline DB bench on a very slight incline, like literally 10-20 degrees up from horizontal. That's enough to hit the chest if thats what you tryin to target.

Yea sadly our school gym doesnt have a decent incline and im forced into an awkward position. It really knocked the weight down on what i could handle. Even less than what i can do for db shoulder press.
EDIT; the chart is a printed up sheet that says if you do so and so with this much weight this is your max. I realize its not fully accurate but its the best thing i have right now.
