am I freakishly strong?
I am benching 335 right now and only weigh 165, it sounds like alot to me but I don't really lift for strength, it just kind of happened that away. How would I do in a competition?

That's on the border line of freakish, and would fair well in many competitions.
I used to lift with a guy (140 lbs) who routinely throw up benches in the mid 400's. He was on the US powerlifting team. Congrats

That's not freakish really. Freakish would bea 165 lber benching triple body weight or more. It's damn good though.
You'd fair pretty well, unfortunately nowadays most powerlifting meets are done with shirted benching. You'd have a great place to start though benching 335. Guy at my gym is a 165er and benched 430 at the meet to set a new Michigan record.

mid 400's is crazy how tall are these guys, I am 6'1" not that it matters, but 165 on a 5'8" frame would make more sence.

If you're really only that tall then there are a few scenarios that are happening:
1. You are lying
2. You have no legs

Not freakish but above average. I can only name 2 people I know who're similar or better, but I don't know a lot of powerlifters.
Keep up the good work :
How's your deadlift and your squat? A good bench will help, but you need to be putting up good numbers on both of those lifts, as well, to do well in a competition.

I think he was referring to your leg strength, though he isn't necessarily right.
As stated before, a nice bench is great, but without a good deadlift/squat you can't hold up in a competition.

While you're right that im a smart ass, i was making a comment about your weight not about you not actually having legs.

I'd love to see a picture. If everything on you is skinny and you got no muscle then there's no way you're benchin 300+.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now though. Can we see a photo if you please sir?

no need getting all defensive when someone questions your claim. you know yourself it's outside the norm and i'm surprised you didn't provide evidence to back up your claim from the outset. anyone can SAY anything - i could claim to be a 5'7" 130-lb goddess if i wanted to - but if you want solid information and constructive advice, you need to be honest and to be prepared to back up your statements. the picture referred to, if i read DA's post correctly, is one of you actually performing such a feat.
simple.

Bump. I'd like to see a pic/video. I don't completely doubt him cuz at the Kent State bench press comp. some lightweight won it with a 335 lb bench press. Skinny ass bitch too, I was impressed. (It was a pound for pound comp.)

Yeah there's always some strong little guys out there that you'd enver think could do it.

I think its been said before, but unless you have a decent squat and deadlift, a good bench won't mean much in competion. Still, 335 is good; I don't want to sound like I'm taking away from your accomplishment.
