Well if you turn your hands toward you, then do alot more weight , wouldn't it hit just as hard? The biceps can only pull so much. I'm talking about the middle back now. And talking about close grip chinups, not wide grip or anything.

My arms are 14 inches before I flex them to about 16 inches, and my max bench press is 240 on my good day. And 225 on my bad day.

I have about 18 inch arms and bench 275 max. I have to say that seems pretty small at my gym...

I know where you're coming from man, the regulars in my gym are freaking crazy. Many of them are repping what I deadlift on their bench. Oh well, I'm only 18, I got a lot of time to get up there.

5'11" 209 - - not fat, just a weak right shoulder from multiple seperations. I am building back up the bench after 2 years off - I am hoping to hit 315 by the end of the summer...

Man If I had 18 inch arms, I would be benching like 500 pounds as a max. >;(
lol, with my scrawny 14 inch arms..
Your right should must be really really weak if you have 18 inch arms and your max is only 275, you should really check that out with a doctor if you can afford treatment. Because maybe you are making something worse...

there's a word for people like you, oh yea, dickhead
Why don't you consult a doctor to make sure that isn't getting worse?
Appologies to everyone else, for the use of the d-word. But it was appropriate in this context.

Good comeback from the adult! Gee, big boy? Where'd you get that idea? Maybe the sig tipped it off. Yes I'm a big boy. 6'2 and 250. But I'll probably play football in college. Will you? :

OOOOO, did I touch a nerve? I'll be sure to watch out for you on the contender II. Now let me return to being intimidated by the 18 year old with Napoleon Complex.
