Boooooooo

I f'ed up on 255 on bench today!!!!

The first time my spotter(my dad) pre-emptively pulled it off of me. The second time my left arm locked out but my right arm didnt somehow cause it slipped and it went to a wider grip.

DOH!!!!!

The only explanation i have is that i had no meal before this and i was somewhat tired, but it was still a doable weight. Im so pissed that i spent 40 minutes after this just working my triceps.

All this time i thought i was weak off my chest so i have been working that and where do i fail but at the top godamnit....

Haha hurts don't it..... Hey, at least you had a spotter.... I remember the first time I did 220 and couldn't get it off of my chest.... Nobody else in the damn room.... Had to roll the bar down my chest and ended up scratching by belly up something nasty....

I'ma try maxing for the first time in 2 months sometime next week.... Hopefully, I'll be getting 255, maybe 260 up....

How in the world did your grip slide on the bar? That's weird.

Don't worry, get it next time .

Grr i would attempt it again today but my triceps are sore as hell from all the extra tricep work i did yesterday.

I'll get it though... sucks that one hand was locked out and the other wasn't what a crappy way to fail a lift.

The slipping was probably caused by my sweating hands although it is absoluetely inexcusable(i should have griped harder).

Haha man i'm past 255 now.

My last 2 sessions i did 240 x 3 for 3 sets and the next session 225 x 2 for like 4 sets no arch drop setted into 245 x 2 arched. Things are good now .

The grip thing i gotta try, ive read that before but never gave it a go. Plus, im russian so it must work.
