Box jumps

I've had box jump training fever lately and my search of youtube brought this inspiring performance to my attention:

I'll never do anything like that in my lifetime. If I can get 40" in my lifetime, I'll be tickled pink.

I'm not far off. I think I can do a box jump at ohhh, about 2 feet now. Yep, should be no time at all before I could box jump at a height like he did (mind you that dude just jumped higher than my flippin' overall height!)

Okay truthfully I cannot box jump at all, but one can always dream,....

That's amazing. Truly and unbelievably amazing. I couldn't do that even if I had a running start. I'd only succeed in smashing into the steps and with my luck, break my nose again (and considering I've broken my nose 5 times so far, the 6th one would give me that Owen Wilson profile).

What that kid does is pretty sick... The sitting position beforehand has such an impact on your performance...

I like box jumps... I cycle them into my schedule for 3-week periods... Last time I did them, I was doing 45" for triples, which means I'm a million miles off my goal... I wanna dunk, at 5'8"...

Merrida, how tall (short) are you...?

That's very impressive. Any chance of posting a video of that?

Don't really have a cam, but there's a video function on my cell, so yea, I can play around with it... See what kind of quality it provides...

Definately some conscious explosiveness there, takes mind-movement connection.
