Does anyone have any links to competitions around the U.S. with info on how to register, rules, etc..... If my lifts improve enough by next year, I may consider entering one....

i just called up one of the gyms on island and the the semper fit powerlifting competition is on 8 jan. that gives me 3 weeks to kick it up. i am really wanting to total a 1200 but as of recent motivation ruts and other things trying to get in my way i dont see that happening. right now my raw lifts are looking like this:
squat: 365
bench: 255
DL: 505
total: 1125

i have yet to give my suit a run for its money but i do plan on putting up:
squat:385
bench:255 (not effected obviously)
DL: 535
total: 1175

there is still time for me to get the numbers up. im going to bust my butt until im 5-6 days out and take that time off. im still going to do what i can to be in the 181s. i just weighed myself at 185. anyone have an estemated guess on how much water i could lose by dropping creatine for the next 2 weeks?

If you have a really tight suit, expect more like 40-50 lbs from it.

i have never used a good suit before. the only one i have ever used was the one that they let us use in HS and you know they didnt buy top of the line. if it gives me an extra 40-50 i wouldnt complain.

Make sure you train with that new suit a lot before competion. The tighter ones take time to get use to.

And how do you know that Mr.Ass? lol just kidding.

I want to get into powerlifting meets but not until I'm cut and actually eat for strength/size. I expect by end of next summer if not sooner, I'll be 10% or less, and then try to build tons of strength and size over another year, watching diet very close so i dont have to cut every 2 or 3 months lol.

By then i'd expect my deadlift max to be close to 600, if not over, and my bench to be near 315. Well that's ideal anyway. Who knows what will happen by then.

Hey beef why arn't you hitting your bench harder man? My bench is inching on yours while my other two lifts are far behind it. Don't let me catch up to you, i'll do it.
