have you read the phonebook thread I started?........www.gripboard has the techniques. I don't know the links.

you prob. should experiment on your own for awhile, try differant ways for yourself, squezzze that book with all your might, pull it apart at once, use your whole body into it, get the best training out of it, get those tendons and connective tissues working, and success should come. ripping full phonebooks are not and should not be a simple task.

Mark,
you're off to a good start. Check out the thread in the general bb'ing forum about training the lower arms. You'll be able to get some ideas there about developing a more complete program. Grip feats such as bending and tearing require total lower arm strength, not just one or two aspects of it.

A couple things I can tell you about tearing is to 1) clamp down on the book as hard as possible 2) rest the book and the stablizing hand on one leg 3) pull the book (long ways) in opposite directions, both forward and back, as well as away 4) start with smaller books and progress in pages

Keep us posted on your progress.
