then overhead squats are the answer, you can use the powerrack on them so you don't drop it, set the pins at the level where the bar will just touch the pins while your in the hole.

I havn't a clue if "high pulls" or even powersnatches are good for mastering a full "squat snatch" it's really a differant tech. but I like trying to powersnatch with as little dip as possible, and I like pulling the bar high.
it's just fun!!!

Thanks luke for the tips! I'll keep working on the OHS's and set the pins where you suggested.

I also had my first experience with kettlebell snatches on saturday! wow, totaly different for me then barbell snatches!

I was thinking of trying them with my feet propped up on those reebok step thingees. They have some in the cardio room. That way, I get progressive resistance. Just add another step when it gets too easy.

Sorry, but what is a parallette? Inquiring minds want to know!

parallette = a little wooden stand (at our crossfit) made from 2 end triangles and a wooden dowel handle. You use a pair of them to grab onto to balance yourself for L-sits and pushups and stuff like that. It is similar to using hex dumbells for pushups. They are a little easier on the skin because there is no knurling and there is no chance of them rolling at all.

yeah what brat said. They are like mini versions of parallel bars you see in mens gymnastics.

Parallett Bars
Oh, I we don't have those at my gym. We do have some hex DBs that might work. Last night I put my feet on the reebok step and that made it a little harder. I'll add more steps soon.
