For Girls on The Forum
I was sitting here thinking, and I realized that I have no clue how much weight girls can lift, so curiosity got the better of me, and we now have a new topic. So ladies, I am interested what kind of weights you can lift, or usually lift. Bench press, deadlift, curl, or what kind of exercises you generally do. Thanks in advance!

It really depends on my rep range and the objective of what I am trying to do.
I've become much more concerned about correcting form and functional lifts lately therefore what I use is all over the map. I don't do maxes since it serves no purpose at the moment. I was lifting heavier for reps than I do now back in my 20's.
To give you an idea though I do benchpress reps in the 75-85lb range, deadlift reps in the 95-135lb range and I don't really do curls much but if I did I would probably use 20lb pink dumbells if I could find them! I'm new to olympic lifting and am still trying to nail down correct execution so my weights are in the 45-70lb range for them.

My routine and what I can lift:
CDL: 140x6
T-row: 80x8
Pull-up: (This is really sad, but I'm working on it): 60 lbs of assist x6
Bench: 85x4
Dip: 30 lbs of assist x8
Pushups: I'm up to doing 10 easily, so I'll have to figure out a way to make them harder. My bench is sure wimpy, but the guys are impressed when I drop and do a set of push-ups. These are guy-style.
Squat to parallel: 115x8
SLDL: 135x6
Lunges: 80x6
I weigh about 130lbs. I've gained about 12 lbs since I started lifting about 3 years ago.
I know my numbers aren't very high, but considering how I started off, I've come a long way.

Try doing them on rings or parallettes, or with your feet elevated. Or clapping pushups. Maybe put one hand on a medicine ball.

wow, to all your lifts gymgirl!!!
"not so good" is what I think on all my snatches in the past, I've somehow got 150 but not the real way, I been sticking to just powersnatching and high pulls latley, (on snatch grip high pulls I use 5-10lbs over my powersnatch, and on reg. high pulls I use 10-20 UNDER my powercleans, and pull till I touch the neck, I try to touch my chin, then I know I'm going HIGH).
and of course overhead squats.

Nice............we got some strong ladies in here! I'm impressed. You all should be very proud of what you've accomplished!
I'm waiting for Firehawk to post up his numbers, his vaginitis must've flared up again. Besides...........he can't really compare to any of the numbers already posted.

Hey Luke, very interesting thanks for sharing. One of my goals is to really work on my snatch, maybe I should add more high-pulls into my routine, and obviously more overhead squats. I struggle the most with receiving, pulling the weight isn't as much of a problem as landing/locking out and keeping the weight overhead! My gym won't let me drop the weights so I'm nervous to really try to max out incase I can't get the load securely overhead.
In my warm-ups I've been encorporating some snatch balance practice, and hopefully that will help a bit.
