Goals

Let me know if these goals are realistic (I'm not putting at time frame on them, but about a year or two is what im shooting for):

(my body weight is 134 right now, I lost 2lbs. BLAH!)

Bench: 3xbody weight
Squat: 4Xbody weight
Deadlift: 4xbody weight

This is a considerable jump from what im doing now. Let me know if Im shooting too high.

Anything is possible, if you are prepared to put in 110%.

Make a 2 year plan for exactly how it could be done. If your plan makes sense, its quite possible you could make it work.

Make sure that you establish some intermediate, shorter-term goals to help you get there.

You will get there bro. Keep plugging, and don't give up form for weight. I made that mistake, and get to start back down at 0!

Not realistic at all for a 2 year time-frame. Realistically you might never reach a any of those...and if you do it will probably only be after years (defenitely more than 2...) of experience and training.

Dont mind him, he's the pessimistic one of the group .

No, he does speak the truth that it probably will take alot longer than 2 years. But you need to believe that you can do it, and you will!

Pointing out that it'll take more than 2 years to be ranking up there with some of the best professionals out there. Take baby steps, don't go shooting to break records at the start or you're setting yourself up. You're in luck being a small one, as most of the smaller people have the advantage when going for multiple times their bodyweight. :

Are your goals for competition legal lifts with gear?
400+ lb bench press?
500+ lb squat and deadlift?

If you get those, you won't be posting junk here anymore, you will be aiming for international level meets with a 1400 lb total at 132 bodyweight.

I thought I was getting somewhat lofty wanting the following (similar body weight) in the same time frame of about 2 years:

S: 375-400 with suit and wraps
BP: 275 with shirt
DL: 475-500 (probably more like 450-475 after recent max test).

Right now Im doing roughly 2xbody weight bench, 2.5xbody weight dead lift, 3xbody weight squat. I'm not pulling these number out of the air (the bench is raw).

I know those numbers I posted at the top are pretty out there, I was just curious if my body will be able to handle that weigth. I got a small frame, which doesnt help in the least (thanks for the genes mom and dad). At the same time, most people I know would never belive that Im benching 245, squating 350 and deadlifting 300 (need straps bad).

Oh one more thing, how detremental is it not to have a work out partner?

I dont have a workout partner, but I guess what you need to be able to do is not be afraid to tilt plates off if you get caught on bench, and be extra careful of your form.

That's my opinions. In the past ive seen others on here say not to work out without a partner, etc.

Also it's beneficial to have a partner so they can watch your form all the time. Lately what I do now is take videos with my digital cam and check my form. Even if you think you got good form, good idea to have someone else verify. I just found this out the hard way lol.

Well, its a good idea...**** happens and if for some reason you lose control of that bar above your face, having someone there to help keep it from smashing your neck/skull is always good.

Not everyone is going to have access to those, especially if you go to my gym where we only have one power rack that is a beesh to lay claim to.
