How far apart are those nights? That has a big effect on how you're going to want to set this thing up.

The nights will have to be far apart.
Mon/Thurs
Tues/Fri
Wed Sat
Etc.....
If your training day are as such, you can start a training cycle with squat, benchpress and deadlift on both days. I follow a version of the 5x5 training.
About mid way through the cycle, you could squat on one day and bench and deadlift on the other.

If this is a long term arrangement, why not consider getting some weights for a home gym?

Sure, 5x5 is a pretty standard setup. Are you going with a full body routine then?

Make sure you perform power movements first in a workout(cleans or snatches before squats and deadlifts). You should not be fatigued before performing these.
