Highschool lifter


Just curios whats an averager highschool kids bench, squat and deadlift?

if you're looking at guys that lift often (for example the fellow football players who lift around me), i'd say anywhere between 130 and 170. If you're looking for the average out of the hallway student, i'd say 100, maybe?

Yeah, bout right, though juniors and seniors who lift consistantly are probably up in the 200+ range. Most freshman haven't been introduced to it that much yet and/or haven't grown quite as much yet.

.. anyone else, no offense cort, Gartrell, but i think your underestimating most kids in highschool before i was done with freshmen year i was able to max 205

I always see the high schoolers at the YMCA doing endless sets of 10 reps of 135 or 155 lbs. nothing more, nothing less. Once I got a whole back/biceps workout done and the same kids that were benching 135 when I started were still going at it.

Gartrell benched something like 295 as a sophmore so i have a feeling hes been sarcastic?
