Lifting gloves

Okay, basically, my friend's bench is in his garage...and now, its getting to be winter time, which means, it's bloody cold! And the bar gets so cold you can't touch it, so...lifting gloves are a good solution, I think anyway, my question to you is-
Where do I get them? Can I pick them up at any regular store like wal-mart or do I have to go to like Big Five, or what?

Wal-mart may actually have a 'cheap' pair but a sporting goods store or even more specific a fitness store, will have the most variety.

you can always wrap a towel around the bar when you lift it... .

IMO I would get the thinnest pair possible that would keep the cold off.I have a pair of the classic leather Harbinger with the wristwrap and cant use them when curling, you end up putting more energy into gripping than you do the lift.Might try some made of neoprene,or some of those specifically made for mechanics sold at places like Autozone,Advance, etc.
