My current favorite is incline crunches holding the weight behind your head. You have no idea how difficult these are until you actually try them......
EDIT: looks like they fixed the time issue on the forum, this post should be after Maverick's

I like to do jacknives with the balance ball. Also the exercise maverick mentioned is a killer.
Here's what I'm talking about.. Swiss Balls

Totally true. You can sit there and pile 2 45's on your chest and bang out a few reps, but try putting a 25 behind your head and your in for a humbling experience.

Looking for Good Abdominal Exercises
Hey, wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has a favorite abdominal exercise that you'd be willing to share?
Thanks so much!

For me, it is currently a single hold to failure of the ab plank.

I've taken a real liking (or dislike depending on your point of view) to twisting core exercises. The one that seems to do the most damage the quickest is sitting on the ground, legs out in front of you, and lifting my feet off the ground. From there, grab a medecine ball and keep twisting back and forth, touching the ball the the ground on each twist.

L- and V-sits for time or transition between them for reps...
Ab Wheel... Rock a weighted vest if you're properly hardcore...
Joe D inspired me to try this disgusting exercise... My rotational strength is pitiful... I almost cried...
YouTube - DeFrancosTraining.com - Rotational Med ball slams!!
I tried the one Mav mentioned just now... Tricky... Painful... Yay...

The head on the guy in the drawing of the advanced jacknife is simply twisted, Eric.

Weighted decline sit ups (I hold 2 heavy DBs because plates can get awkward). Another one Firehawk showed me is on the decline bench, hold the barbell at chest/nipple level with close grip and sit up, keeping the BB about same height whole time (letting it drop makes it way easier). Also, to hit lower abs, lay in the squat rack on the floor and lift a heavily weighted barbell (and hold, as if ready to bench above you) and do the flutter kicks by alternatively moving each leg up and down.

Standing weighted ab crunches, if you have straps to attach to a lat station, they are awesome. The plate behind the head exercises, especially done off a GHR, is definitely humbling...also a band tied to something near the floor while doing abs off a bench or GHR is great. Anything where you sit plates on your chest really doesn't create the leverage you're trying to get.
The one GCS is talking about is AWESOME, and if you get caught, it's easy enough to move the weight more toward your knees so you can come up with it so you don't get stuck.

Cable pull downs hit me hard for the mid/upper abs and then hanging leg raises for lower.
