Mike came over.........

as usual we had a great session.

started with floor presses (I wanted to do them, I haven't for awile).
using a tanden grip bar, and setting the weight on 5"boxes (starting the press just above the pecs) 202x1 is my best, 3rd grips

150x2 2nd and 3rd grips
170x2 2nd and 3rd grips
183x1 2nd and 3rd grips
198x1.5 3rd grips (not what I wanted)
203 miss (just budged it)

Mike blasted 289x1 (had more in him), he's got some good press

log deadlifts
11"wooden log
230x2
320x1
340x1 PR! (stiff-legged, very slow pull, no stall though)

Mike struggled with 320, and then got it!!!

Big Log just under 14" can use some leg drive here, but it turns right into a stiff-leg
305.5x2PR

Mike struggled again but finally got it!!!

super-yoke front carry (crook of the arms) (crossbar set at lowest setting)
it was raininig and the grass was soggy
330x20'
430x50' PR

Mike only managed 25' (2-runs) usually he smokes me at this?

yoke squats below parallel "starting from bottom" "right below parallel"
240x2
290x2
320x1
350miss'
Mike nailed 350
350x1.5 PR!, had it lower than I wanted on my back, but oh well.

Mike had carried the 240lb big log out 50' (I've been getting into the habit of carring that thing a few feet, I could barely carry it 20' first day I got it)

I added weight to the log, 245.5+2-sets of spring clips, 50' with twisting getting in under my deck PR!

Mike said carring things like that is the best workout, I agree, it feels so great to eat good tastey food after that!!!!

BTW ate breakfast around noon (before), trained at 2-2:30 finished by 4, didn't eat until 5, made a sandwitch/glass of milk before bed also, so it was another 3-meal day, maybe drank half-gallon of water after workout (rest of the day and night, thats all I NEEDED)

cause I don't want to keep a daily journal, I just want to write some sessions in here and there, and my training is getting more and more geared to powerlifting, besides the bench, and actually the squat seems to be the biggest thing on my mind the last year.
