Missouri Open results

didn't qualify...a real heart breaker cause i got a second chance to try for collegiate nationals and i blew it again. i put myself in a better position this time but i've had so many other things i had to deal with (military stuff, frshamn hazing) that i was burnt out.

heres a couple of pics from the meet

i was trying to c&j 110kg (i almost had 112 had the last meet, so i thought this would be a piece of cake)

so heres a vid of it. stood up before i had it locked out

That is impressive.......very, very impressive. At least you know where you made your mistake. Other than that you looked real good.

I really like the second photo. Your upper body uprightness in the squat clean bottom position is something I strive for.

The vid was fun to watch too even though you missed the jerk.

And you are looking like an Oly lifter. Keep at it.

thanks a bunch. right now, i'm totally redoing my form...actually doing it right now. my ego was totally destroyed last night when the captain of the team was helping me and i pretty much did no weight, infront of the girls volleyball team. we got two guys on the team (one including the captain) are trying to get into the olympics. the captain was saying that the method he was teaching me was scientifically proven to be the best way...interesting how much science is involved...

I'm not surprised about the science being involved. Proper study of anything will produce better insight.

Don't worry too much about not getting the weight you are used to or currently desire. You are certainly strong - now you simply need to learn something new. It won't be long before last night is simply a memory you will laugh about.

Keep working at your lifts. You have a gift in being able to pursue these lifts with someone who knows what they are doing.

Oh, man! That really sucks! Glad he wasn't hurt. Knowing he wasn't does make it funny. I hope he has a good sense of humor about that particular lift, lol.
