these squats by mariusz pusznd-- that bloody huge polish guy -- are sheer poetry in motion! you can see the raw power in his back when the 810lb squat almost starts thinking about getting away from him and he corrals it back in.

Thats pretty awesome. Is that some kind of momentum gaining technique he did when he did the double bounce at the bottom of the squat?

Those is some mighty fine squats. Every beginner should watch a squat like that to get an idea of how they're supposed to be done.

810lbs is the last one.

those are powerlifting plates - they're heavier than the regular gym plates, weighing (in kilos): .25, .5, 1.0, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 50 (.55lbs to 110lbs).

He said before the last squat that it was 310 kg... / .454 = 682lbs...

oops - yah - math way off but still a helluva lot more than i can do and i'm guessing he can do more than that himself.

I thought he started with 300 kilos adding 40 kilos each time, making it around 900 lbs.
