Off the chest.


Am I right in thinking that dynamic explosive lifting will help me here? That first inch or two on the bottom is my greatest weakness as of now.

Mine, too. I think the speed reps have helped me there. You could also try lockouts targeting the half-inch off your chest up to about 6 inches off the chest or so. I'm sure Dave has a routine for that up his sleeve.

Yeah, it's just amazing how easy 235 is one inch off my chest for reps in comparison to how hard it is all the way down lol. I might try the lockouts, just wish I had a partner in there doing similar lifting so I'm not the only one that people are looking at funny...

Strengthen your lats and work on your front delts.

And yeah, paused reps work pretty good too.

Sounds good, I'll work them in.

Not sure what else to do for my lats beyond the deadlifts, rows, pull-ups, etc...
