Olympian Tommy Kono coaches pierini

This is in my training journal but I'm posting it here for the rest of you who don't get over to the Online Journal forum.

It is not everyday that I get Olympic lift coaching, gratis, from an Olympic weightlifting legend. Enjoy!

That's awesome pierini! I only got to see the pictures, as I can't view youtube here at work but it looks like you had a great coaching session! You are lucky to have Tommy Kono as a friend.

Also, I like the wooden pole he gave you for training.

Absolutely!

But these technique changes have thrown me off in handling the heavier loads. I need to be patient because I know in the long run that fixing my technique is the key to heavier loads. Mr. Kono told me to stay away from heavier loads and just concentrate on cultivating perfect technique.

I did notice in that last video though that I jump back after replanting my feet. I gotta work on that. Much more too work on but I'm taking it one breath at a time.

yeah i know what you mean...i can rip off the ground for c&j no problem but if i do it for snatch, i fall on my knees...i got bruises to show too.

Have you ever tried two a days? I just started today...

But you and I both know that this is something that definetly takes patience
