Like what?

One big give away is: You'd be in so much pain, you wouldn't be sitting at your keyboard typing.

Ditto. I got sick to my stomach I was in so much pain when I tore my shoulder. You may have simply strained the muscle.

Bro, If you tore your shoulder you probably would bot be able to do anything, especially pull ups, seeing as you use your rear delts.

Muscle tear would make it near impossible to use the body part involved.
You have pulled a muscle.
A muscle tear is like the crotch of yr pants, a good tear will leave ya ba--s hanging

Well, there are microtears, and there are bigger tears. Considering the level of uncertainty, it's probably only slightly worse than microtears, pain is usually pretty relevant to gauging the injury. Swelling is also informative.
