Stone Lifting on Higher Platform This TIme...

Videos of Stones:
180lb: 180lb Atlas Stone to 4ft Platform - Putfile.com :: Update Videos and Pictures for Free.
200lb: 200lb Atlas Stone to 4ft Platform - Putfile.com :: Update Videos and Pictures for Free.
220lb: 220lb Atlas Stone to 4ft Platform - Putfile.com :: Update Videos and Pictures for Free.
225lb: 225lb Atlas Stone to 4ft Platform - Putfile.com :: Update Videos and Pictures for Free.

Does anyone know if using chalk makes it worse on the forearms as far as tearing them up? I don't have the stick stuff. Also, anyone know where I can get the arm guards to protect against tearing up the forearms? I just don't want to develop scars there lol.

Any critiques/comments welcome. I was going to try doing reps with the 225lb just from the knees up today, but I tried 260 stone and mssed it, then tried to go back to the 225 for some reps and was just too wore out.

They should work. They work for me. Check again in a few, maybe it's the website. Also they convert them into Flash so if you don't have the flash player you'll have to go and install it from macromedia.com

You know what the most impressive thing to me in the 225lb Stone video is? It has nothing to do with the lift. I just noticed that you can actually see some form of my lat by my arm pit LOL. I was just watching an old 500lb deadlift video that was taken maybe 1 year ago and I had a similar shirt on but there was a fat bulge there. LOL

I have flash,....but it still doesn't come up.

It was like that with some of the other clips too,....some would show, some wouldn't. So the problem is probably on my end.

It did that before to me on occasion. It's probably their server, not you.

I don't think chalk makes much of a difference in terms of tearing your arms up but the tacky definitely will. Either way, you can be fairly certain that the stones will not leave scars. Your pain tolerance will cause you to stop long before the damage done becomes permanent. Even still, you'd have to be at this for years and years lifting extremely heavy stones for permanent scarring to occur, IMO. Having said that, there are a couple places online to get "stone sleeves" but I can't recommend one or the other because I have never used them.

Nice work with the stones, but next time post the clip on the lift you FAILED and I can give better feedback. The suggestions I have are not applicable since you got the stone up.

Did you get missed 260 on video? If so, post it up!

I can tell you one thing about stone lifting without tacky... after you chalk up, spit in your hands just enough to kill that overly dry state the chalk leaves you in.

Dan, I did video tape the stone lift that I didn't get...but I didn't even get it off the ground. Is it still worth posting up?

I'll see if I didn't delete the original at home later.

Nah, I guess not. All I can tell you (regardless if I see it or not) is to try and get your fingers under the stone more. Actually roll the ball onto your fingers... keep your hands at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock (some people like it slightly staggered)... and stand directly over the stone.
