Strength Loss

Anyone else suffer from Strength loss if they skip 2 straight days of lifting? I can keep up with my maximum lifts every second day but if I miss out on 2 days I struggle with my max.

Protein synthesis stops after 48 hours so i don't think that is the main reason. The same thing someitmes happens to me though. I think it is mainly mental though because soemtimes before max especially many take an entire week light or off entirely to prepare for the max next week.

I'm not sure about strength loss. That is mainly a neural function so having a well rested CNS should actually improve your max?

i used to max every other day on bench pretty much. i did this for about a month. it went up by about 30 pounds in that time alone. however, i had just gotten off of wrestling season so that could play a part.

Do you mean missing 2 workouts? Really has never happened to me. Once in a while I have an off day or something but that just happens, and usually probably because I didn't get enough sleep or didn't eat right.
