I may just start posting my journal here on df.com again tho instead of pr posts because lately every gym session i have is better than the one before it.

Hey maverick what is the difference of putting your legs really close together and really far apart? I do them far apart like 12 times with 6 plates. Im guessing with your feet in is harder....how close are your feet 6 inches? 12? Just wondering....also do u use leg wraps???
Definitely harder, for me anyway, with my feet closer. Its a longer ROM and uses more direct quad emphasis, letting the hamstrings and glutes help less. I did them with my feet about shoulder width apart. No leg wraps for me.

That's the idea. You should be able to get an extra rep every session on something.

Are you talking about stiff-leg deadlifts?

nice mav i dont use leg wraps either if i do its only on my last set when i go heaviest. It does sound a lot harder. I was watching lee haney's workout video...and he puts his feet out and points his toes out to emphasize more of the inner and outer sweep. He did it after squats those guys have some ridiculous workouts lol

Just be careful with the parallel squats moving up weight fast. I did the same thing and the form was decent, but you'll start sacrificing it for weight. Parallel almost seems a relative term. That's why I switched to full squats, which would fix your problem DBZ. I found I had the same problem when I got to the apex of using too much weight and the form suffering. Your knees go forward, your back starts to lean instead of bending at the knees, and although you think you are at parallel, you are really just bent really far at the waist. At least, thats what happened to me.

i think i might get a video of it and post it up. What i did was went as long as i could and my knees went over my toes. I also leaned my back forward I'm reallly lucky i didn't hurt myself. I really warm up good (3 mile jog) then i do so my knees are completely loose and warmed up just in case

To really help your squat, try doing box squats. Then you KNOW how deep you are getting on every rep. They've really helped me improve mine. And any improvement with my horribly weak legs is a good thing.

Video taping yourself is essential so that you can see what you're doing wrong. Even very advanced lifters work on form constantly. It's nothing to be ashamed about. If you want to post the video clip, then we could maybe help fix your form up.
