Thanks for the comments guys. Dave, to answer your question, the IPF doesn't allow briefs so I don't use them when I train. I do all my speed work raw and my ME work is done either with full gear, or just a belt and wraps.

Are the numbers you guys are posting done with gear? If so, I think you should be specifying that, if it's here, or when someone asks you "what's your max?"

My box PR was with a belt and knee wraps.

I haven't posted any suited or shirted PR's in this thread, but I would of course, indicate that if I did.

I think the other type of gear should be stated also.........as I've read several posters discuss using in the near future (test, tren, ect.) people want to hide this on forums, yet it's part of it, and I want to see when these indivduals start using and what happens to lifts in part of it.

Well, if I start on the HRT as I'm likely to have to do, I'll honestly share the results. I don't expect to start owning the PR thread though, that belongs to others. However if I get my levels at least close to normal, I expect to finally start getting some normal results. There is nothing wrong with getting medical attention if it's needed and certainly is nothing to hide. Sadly, legal HRT with all the blood tests, lipid profiles, and other things that have to be followed is more expensive than just going illegal...however, I believe going legal is better.

I think though, that the gear they are referring to is things like squat suits, briefs, bench shirts, and the like...powerlifting gear.

I agree.......I have yet to venture to the dark side, not sure if I will either. As long as my lifts keep going up i'm staying au-naturel.

kinda boring compared to the numbers others are throwing up on here latetly, but my pitiful military press is coming along. I got 150 x 5 on the standing military press today.

I was thinking that too, as I remember an exchange F-Mac and I had where he alluded to using in the future. I'd be interested to see how much lifts go up as well, but I won't be holding my breath for any users to come clean about what they're taking. Some do, and though I respect their honesty in that regard, their achievements are tarnished IMO.

An interesting side note, Luke, I lifted with a 63 year old man at the gym yesterday. A weightlifter, still competing and has been since the 50's. He know's all the old guys from York, and from what he tells me, the guys that lifted in what we think of as the "pre-steroid era", a lot of the guys we assume are natural (Kono, Berger, Shemansky), in fact were using late in their careers and a close look at their best lifts will make this obvious. From what he tells me, he's still lifting close to the same numbers as he did in his hey-day and that all his old competitors have faded away. Kinda like the tortoise and the hare... he has won in the long run.
