It wasn't a real max, i was good for more weight but I couldn't get another rep out. Still, I'm happy to be at 290 after a few months near 250...

Hi there
Guys I am really imprest of your lifting: snatch-grip 315 lbs ( WAW ) I'm straggling with 70lb and beefcurry1 you deadlift 500lb !!!!!

How you guys lift that match. I can barely deadlift 200 lb and I have been body building for a wile.

Keep it going

Being consistent goes a long way over time. Many of these people have at least 1-3 years of experience or more, and a few (like Jaster) have been at it for a lot longer.

nobody...if you have been training 5 years and you can't deadlift 200 lbs, there is something seriously wrong with your training. Unless you have a medical condition...then I retract my statement. Look around here or make a post about your workout and diet so you can make changes.

I'll post a few prs, and hopefully when i max in one and a half weeks ill get some even better ones:

Squat: 275 x 10
Deadlift(only a conventional pr): 350 x 2, which was really cake walk actually
Bench Press: 185 x 14 (most reps i've done with this)

Expect some bigger numbers to be coming to this thread soon .

They were heavy, but i could have dished them out for one set of 20 reppers if i felt like taking 2 minutes for the set.

In other words, i had maybe 2 left in me if i were to squat with the same tempo, but if i were to start resting at the top i could do em for 20 reps and puke afterwards.

As a comparison, i recently at the end of my deadlift workout ass to grass squated 205 x 10 for more or less the same difficulty(to tell u the truth these may have been harder lol). So there is at least a 70 pound idfference in my wide squat and in my ass to grass squat.

EDIT: Depth was at around parallel. I was squatting with my dad as a spotter and he said i was hitting them at or below. I've made an effort to try to get lower but i honestly cant tell you if every rep was spot on or not.

The ass to grass however i cant cheat on: go till my ass touches my calves, come back up. (very simple )

I don't think you need to get lower as long as you're breaking parallel at all. You are a powerlifter anyway right? The other day at the gym I heard one of the guys tell the chick squatting that she was going too low. This is a powerlifting specific gym anyway, and they were training for the upcoming senior nationals here in Detroit. So I'm sure he was telling her to just break parallel and come up. Dunno for sure though, i was busy working out myself.

Besides most of those guys there can't squat more than 1-2" below they're so damn thick.

Does your dad know for sure what parallel is? (I'm just asking).

Good deal dude. I don't know if I'm man enough to do 20 reppers lol. I also am not sure if my heart will take it either. That's a lot of cardio there as well. My heart is beating pretty godo after a heavy set of 6.
