Doesn't matter who's it is like. A Personal Record is just that, a Personal Record and it is yours. Keep up the good work.Anyone notice this thread is over 3 years old now and still going strong? Pretty good idea this one was.

This mornings deadlift session:
570x1 (belt only)
Motivated, you want to focus on keeping your head up and almost "falling backwards" while pulling. Once you get the bar past your knees, drive your hips forward as hard as you can.

Wow, 570 is one hell of a pull. So, are you still getting "leaner and stronger"? Or just getting stronger for now?

the leaner part has been on hold since about a month ago. The whole purpose of that was to give myself a "buffer" so I could not have to worry about being too heavy for this meet.
As of this morning I am 238.5 which is just about right. The weight cap for my class is 242 so I don't want to be any heavier.

Posting a lame pr for now... bigger stuff is coming though. This is only the tip of the iceberg with how strong I have been feeling the last few weeks.
One arm dumbbell rows: 120 x 8 each side.

660 lbs hold x 20 seconds x 3 sets
716 lbs hold x 10 seconds
A little angry today. Workout was an f'ing dud cause I had someone on me telling me how I should be lifting. Sad part is he may be a good coach and he is a great lifter. I just don't want nor need to be coached. A 1.5 hr workout turned into 4 hrs. What a ****ing waste of time.

I should probably make this clear that the holds were for the squat and not bench or deadlift.
I called them holds because it is straight out of the rack as I squat in a monolift. So, I did not walk the weight out.

Attached some kettlebells to bands and hung them off the ends of the bar for bench press. Apparently this is as hot as bread over at WSBB.
Ended up doing 2 x 3 with 75 lb kettlebells each side and 25 lbs of barbell weight each side. 245 lbs total. Intense exercise. I'm going to be sore as hell tomorrow.
At the end of my workout, my training partner challenged me to a bench off and I thought he would bluff. Some guy had 265 on the bar and I asked to work in. Jumped under, put my feet on the bench, grabbed the smooth part (closegrip) and banged out two. Training partner didn't even have one in him at the end of the workout... This was also a pr...
