I once saw a guy set a bench on stacked 45lbs. plates using literally every 45lbs. plate in the gym to raise this bench high off the floor so he guy could do some unorthodox lifts using a rope.

What type of a collar do you use to keep the plates in place Luke?

I use those 5.5lb lock collars, it's a clamp with thumbscrews.


somedays it seems easier if I just kept a bar and some plates at work also, again I don't NEED a rack however I do have a fork lift there I could use for a rack, plus I'm used to using things like 30gal drums as a squat rack.
