Big hello to all you fellow fitness friends. Found out about this site from the DVD Forums (another great site for all things non-fitness related!)
I'm about to embark on my own fitness project, in which I'm aiming to lose some weight, tone the flab, gain some strength and just generally feel more energised (don't we all?)
Since January this year I've been consistently putting on weight through lack of exercise and late-night eating. As a result I'm now 13 stone whereas started the year at 11 stone - which I was happy with for my height of 5ft 9ins. Most of the weight seems to have gone to my thighs, hips, waist and butt - I know look like a pear!
Anyhoo - I'm hoping to sort this mess out through a change of lifestyle - eating early (and healthy) with
regular exercise. I've just bought an
exercise bike on Friday and have used it for around 20 minutes each day so far, hoping to increase this by 5 mins every few days until I hit 60 mins each session. My goal is to lose a stone in 10 weeks (i.e. around 1lb per week) which I think is achievable. Will post my progress as I go!
