Hello.

Hello all,

My name is William Sullivan and I live on the island of Guam in the Western Pacific. I have been exercising regularly for about a year or so. I am a full-time college student and also work full-time at a radio station on the grave-yard shift, so sleep is a luxury that I can ill afford.

I had a number of years living...unhealthy shall we say. Sex, drugs, rock n' roll! Lots of fun, but hell on the body. I have never been overweight, but certainly scrawny and short of breath. Anyway, to make a long story short, joined the Navy to get my act toegther, didn't get it together, seperated from service, royally messed up my life, finally had enough of the B.S., got my act together and started doing positive things. One of those things was exercise, but I got a little "gung-ho" and threw out my back. Bummer.

Since I was unable to lift weights I began "pushing the deck" and found that I liked it a great deal. So I have been focusing on bodyweight exercises for the most part. I have no idea if I will return to the "Land of Iron" anytime soon, partially for fear of reinjuring myself but mostly because I just dig the push-ups and like the fact that I can come home from work, hit the deck, do three sets of push-ups and squats, brush the ol' teeth, and jump into bed. Then, when I wake up I do ab work and rows of the edge of my dinner table. Each of these "super-sets" runs between 6-10 minutes, rest included. It is not ideal, but it is better than nothing and I have seen to many people whine, "But I can't get to the gym!! I'll just have to live with being fat!" And anyway, diet is themost important part of clean living anyway.

Man, I went on too long. Anyway, thanks to pierini for inviting me over here. I don't think that I'll post on the workout section seeing as many of you would find my workouts boring (strapped for time, no iron), but I look forward to discovering more about a healthy lifestyle and clean living.

Best in training,
William Sullivan

Hi William or should we call you "wild Bill"?

Welcome to DF. I think you should go ahead and post your workouts. It's for your benefit. Those who want to, and there will be plenty, will take the time to read and reply.
