Hi everyone! Glad to be here!

I just found this forum today. Nice to find a place with so many members!: I'm excited to check it all out in the next few days.

Fitness is kind of my life. I was a figure competitor for a while, and now my focus is long distance running. I started a business as an online personal trainer 2 years ago, which I just LOVE! Then this past spring I opened an exercise studio in my home so I can train local people face to face. I write fitness articles for a newspaper, and I'm always online talking fitness. So you could say I live and breathe fitness.

I'm also an avid outdoorsperson. my hubby and I live int he western Maine mountains, and hiking is my number one. I'm currently writing a book on hiking in the western Maine mountains. I also love kayaking, snowshoeing, camping, studying wildlife, just about anything outdoors.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all.

Sarah

Hi Sarah !

I hope we can offer you some insights in exchange for some of yours. We have a lot of PTs on here with varied opinions of what's good and what isn't so spicing up some discussion on the DF boards should be interesting.

Welcome Sarah. It was brought to my attention recently that because of the web addy in your signature, the more you post on this board the better the search engine optimization. You can use it to get your site to rank higher in the search engines. Just a little tid bit to keep in mind.

Hi Sarah,

I've stumbled across your posts while browsing another fitness forum, and I am aware of your interest in running. I too am a fun-runner and currently training for a Thanksgiving Day 10k. Feel free to check out my Online Journal posts as I have some good interval workouts that I usually do on Monday.

If you want to run faster, you have to train faster, and interval workouts help you do that.

Have a great day!

Thanks everyone!
I didn't know that Dan, thanks for the info.
I'll definately check out your journal pierini. I do intervals at times, but since I hate them with a passion I don't do them often. Makes running not fun for me. But you are right that they help so much to improve speed!

lol I can only wish to be Dan John. I like his philosophy so I post a link to his site. There are a lot of people out there that know more than me, so I give kudos to my teachers.

Welcome to the board. Looking forward to reading your posts. I'm currently working on getting over my allergy to cardio.

Hopefully you can add another diverse knowledgable opinion to the forum and contribute to good informed debate.
