Hey everyone,
I'm returning from a ~1 year hiatus... back to discussfitness and back to the world of exercise. After browsing the forum for a couple of minutes prior to this post, I saw a lot of familiar names and many new ones.
I've been recently accepted into the
Exercise Science program at the University of Iowa, which for many is just a stepping stone for a degree in medicine. Having always been an exercise fanatic (although the degree of fanaticism comes and goes) I'm very happy to be in this program, not to mention that it will look stellar on my application for graduate school (I'm a Physician Assistant hopeful). When I graduate in two (long) years I will be an Exercise Physiologist.
Presently I'm enrolled in an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program with hopes to be working in an ambulance as well as a trauma hospital tech in the emergency room. It's eight hours a day for 4-5 weeks, which is quite grueling and makes little time for exercise.
Speaking of exercise, unfortunately I've lost my edge regarding my fitness, and I am hoping that just by being active on the forum again that I can motivate myself and others.

:
All in all, life is good. I'm recently engaged, finished a tough semester with good grades, and am becoming more active in the community.
So with that, I'd just like to say hello to both those I know and those I have yet to meet.
