Please help Merrida

I had to open a brand new account (which, by the way, took me 20 minutes for some reason because I continually got repeat error messages). I have tried my account repeatedly, either cold, from the home page direct, or through the link that gets sent to me when someone replies to one of my posts,...nothing. I've tried to request/reset my password,...nothing. And of course, I kept coming in a "guest" over and over no matter how I tried to log in. This happened even when I used the "new' password sent to me (which means DF must still recognize me, my account, yeah?)

So uhm, other than the fact the whole page looks terribly different (I'd try to vote to put in my view that I really, really do not like this new set up what so ever, bleh)...but shucks, it won't let me do that either.

I can't seem to contact any admins directly, so....here I be with what, 3000 posts or so, and DF forgot me (sniffle, sniffle)?

I really want my regular Merrida account back and working, so I figure, I'll open this account, and just make a plain ole post and ask for help this way and hope Mr. Pie or Steph can help me out.

I've been locked out since the changeover too, and this is the first I've been able to log on since then. Maybe your account (along with many others) has been fixed.

Merrida was helped. Yet I got no response to my email notifying her she was been helped.

Nope, I cannot get in with my original account, even with the link you sent. It only let's me log in with this duplicate account. And I'm gathering because this duplicate account shows me as not being here long enough, I can't post anywhere else on the board.

I've tried logging in cold, from a link, from the link on the email you sent me, and I still cannot log in with my original account. It's as if DF doesn't recognize my original account, just this fake one.

Anything else I can do?

Nope, Merrida was not helped.

That's why I'm posting under the name Merrida_ (note the little slashy thing after my name?)....that's a fake, duplicate account, which severely restricts my access and won't let me get into a bunch of different forums or in many cases even post, I can only read.

The 3,000 plus posts I made (hey, it's a power trip, made me feel mighty to be so involved in the DF community, admittedly, part of what I adored)....but now it shows the fake me having about 3 or maybe 4 posts to my name.

So Guruyaya, nope, Merrida was absolutely not helped. She's still waiting for it.

I cannot access those threads like:

or,...Stupid Question for Merrida
or,....Where's Merrida

When I try to access them it says I do not have permission to access those pages. So yet again, I am still in the stuck zone, with one place to post.

This is a bummer.

DF's my fitness family and I've always loved the interaction and help,...not being able to "be me," and not being able to access or participate,....sucks.

When I clicked on aviv's link, by the way, to try and get a new password, when I clicked in the box to enter my email address, it automatically filled up with dashes like this ----------------------- and would not let me override it, delete the dashes, write before or after them,.....so that didn't work either.

I'm still trying. A tad neurotic but hey I miss my DF buds a whole lot. I wanna come home guys!!

One more thing I wanted to add,....I cannot log out. In any way, shape or form, even with clearing the cache, I simply cannot log out of DF. With no way to communicate with anyone this (sorry guys for rambling) is my only way to relay that I think I'm trying everything, despite being told my old account is fixed. I can see my old account posts with 3,700 posts, so it shows me as a "previous poster" of sorts,...but I cannot "do" anything with those posts and obviously that account.

I know, we get it, we get it, the site's still having kinks in it and I'm still on the outskirts.

I just post this excessively so the powers the be know what it is that I am doing or have done to try and get back in so you guys know what's up,....and I'm hoping this info might help you on your end when it comes to figuring out what to do to get me back up and running and back in the DF community.
