I'm not allowed to post where the other comments are so let me just say this:

Thanks pseudo for reminding me to create a new user account to voice my opinion. I too have been banned from entry under my old profile so on lives the brat.

I don't like the the look and feel of this place anymore either. I like the graphic layout, the forum, the colours etc. but when the hell did Discuss fitness get 5# chrome barbells and airbrushed stock photos as it's logo? This looks more like a gay bodybuilding site than the DF I came to know and love (a la Cursor, Dan, Firehawk, Todd and all the other real men). Who the heck here succumbs to such powder puff marketing? Most of the active poster-members here are way tougher than that image (and way smarter too).

Congratulations in the softening of DF and good luck in your new direction.

I also was flipped to the pet forum while trying to log in under my usual profile. You might want to look into that too!

Thanks for your comments Brat. I'm sure you took into account that the new forum platform is in its infancy changes and will get better each day. That I believe.

Regarding the photos, maybe some members will step up to the plate and post a photo that can be part of a slideshow like the current one. How about you? That should solve the gay bodybuilding image to which you alluded. I'll be the first to offer a photo of me if a dozen others step forward and do the same.

Then we would have a better image of the the real Discuss Fitness, that I agree.

I'd much rather prefer a rusty and beat up weight plate or kettlebell than the shiny lightweight dumbbell. Not that there's anything wrong with it but I dont think it represents DF very well. That image, to me, screams aerobics more than weight training. Just my two cents. I do think that things here will slowly be adjusted over time and it takes time getting used to.

And yes papabeten is now gone! Woohoo
