lol gooseneck hasn't even been posting about it. its hard to write 16 pages about your new gun. the problem is, if theres a thread about guns, theres bound to be someone who doesn't like guns who has to put their $.02 in. not that theres anything wrong with it, its pretty much inevitable.

Not yet bro but I am dying to see how she shoots. Not many places around here to shoot these, let alone the time to do it. Trust me though, as soon as I do I'll let you guys know. I'll try and do a video clip with my phone or something. In the mean time, I've put an Aimpoint red dot sight on it but am needing a lower profile 30mm mount which I'm going to order, $65 just for that.

At risk of dredging up ancient history, here's an article for y'all to read.
I welcome all comments and/or justifications.

I think the only lesson learned here is not to put an uzi in an 8 year olds hands.

Are you for real? You don't post for 6 months and you come back with something like this.

It's a horrible tragedy. 8 year old kids have no business being around fully automatic weapons. There's really no need for any civilian, regardless of age, to have access to automatic weapons. The blame should be placed on whoever put the gun in the boy's hands, IMO. Common sense should trump whether or not something like this is legal.

Honestly, I don't know whether to laugh or cry to this response.

Funny...I don't recall you having said anything resembling that six months ago. Maybe if you had, you actually would've brought something to this discussion.

Hey, lookit that! 100 posts! Happy day, happy day...

I've never been "for" fully automatic weapons (though I'm not necessarily against them either), I just don't see the point in them. They are either for mass killing or simply for the pleasure of it.

Why the slight about me bringing something to the discussion? Are you posting again just for the sake of arguing?

Not at all. Why did you start your initial post "are you for real"?

Wow, you did revive a pretty old thread didn't ya?

Well here goes. This is simply a tragic accident, nothing more, nothing less. In my 20 years as a paramedic, 34 years of using firearms, and 11+ years of putting firearms safely in the hands of children...I've never seen an accidental shooting of a child. Adults, yes but children...no. It does happen. Statistics prove this. However, statistics also prove that it happens so rarely that it's a non issue except for those who wish to infringe on other's rights to have firearms.

Want to ban something? Ban recreational use of oceans - they take far more lives, including those of children every year than firearms do. Ban recreational use of lakes - they take far more lives, including those of children every year than firearms do. Ban recreational use of ATVs - they take far more lives, including those of children every year than firearms do. And the backyard swimming pool...yep, that's gotta go too, it takes over 3000 children's lives every year.

And of course the number one killer of our kids in this country, the automobile. We need to go ahead and ban them too.

But as any good freedom stealing gun grabber would say, those are simply ridiculous arguments. As is any argument made to take firearms away from any citizen. Remember, gun ownership is the difference between a citizen and a subject. That would be why the right to firearm ownership was guaranteed in the American Bill of Rights. It's also required in the US constitution for every citizen to own and keep in good repair a modern firearm for use to defend this nation. Don't believe me? READ IT. Until you have actually read the US constitution...your arguments hold no validity to me. If you don't live in the US...you arugument is also invalid because it's really none of your concern.
