Calling out all people with tattoos!
I want to get me a tattoo border="0" alt="" title="Smilie" class="inlineimg" /> It will be my 1st. All I want is a cool design right now. Meaning its not important. Money is not a big issue when it comes to tattoo because there permanent.
So Couple of questions.
1. I start working out couple weeks ago and my goal is to get cut. Should I wait until after i get the results i want?
2. Is my left arm a good place to get my 1st tattoo?
3. There are a lots of online tattoo sites with design. I found www.greattattooideas.com and it reviews 3 website. Do any of you have membership to those site, and if so, is the site worth it to join? Doesnt cost much, but still, i though i would ask
4. This one scares me. But how painful was it to get from scale of 1 through 5?
5. For those who had it longer then a year, do you guys still gotta give your tattoo are special treatment? Like you cant expose it to sun? etc...

Alot of people will tell you, yea wait, because if you dramatically increase your size after you get ur tattoo, then obviously you will riddle it with stretch marks, but realistically you would have to gain like 30lbs in a month to stretch your tattoo out... and its not practical to wait after you get big, because you could spend your whole life trying to get bigger and bigger, and youll never know when to get it.

sure... but if you want a good one why use only one body part... if you look at my avatar you can see I utilized a good portion of my body... I wanted to put it in all the really painful areas to show my tolerance for pain

No one pays for that sh!!! If you have a mind and an imagination you can create your self a nice little layout, or a rough idea, and even in my case, I just told my tattoo dude I wanted tribal that looks somthing like "this" and I want it "here to here" and He pretty much freestyled it... which it was looking good, until he drew it on my lats and back... I didnt realize til after that hey... that doesnt match whats on my arm and shoulder at all!

depends... if you are skin and bones. it will hurt... on places like the quads or bis or the lateral head of the shoulder... not so bad... Id say like a 1 if you have a good size, 2 if your skin and bones... but for places like the rib cage, chest, top of the shoulder, traps, that stuff hurts if you do not have any meat on your bones... but it didnt stop me... it hurts but not bad enough to stop you from doing it...
trust me, theyll give you a dry test, with no ink just to see if you can handle it.

Ive had my first since I was 16, my big one when I was 22 I believe, and im 25 now... yes and no.... You dont have to panic about it after a half a year goes by... But I still lotion mine up like everyday or every other day, with just some basic lotion or baby oil... which I believe all people should do regaurdless of tattoo or not, it just keeps your skin healthy and keeps from drying out.
Good Luck

Get the body you want FIRST before you get the tatt.....It will get warped if you don't.....ON A SCALE FROM 1-5??????? The pain is a 1,000...YEAH, THEY FREAKIN HURT....They hurt MORE in certain places than others though (where you are boney it will hurt more).....Depending on HOW MANY needles your artist uses...The outline is VERY painful, by the time the coloring starts YOUR NUMB and if you get WHITE in your design.....DRINK A LOT FIRST...LOL...I have had tatts (4 and want 3 more) for over 10 years and SO FAR haven't had to have any touch ups...As far as sun exposure and such, you have to treat them special for about a year and then YOUR DONE...BUT TO BE HONEST ABOUT ONE THING YOU SAID....WHY, OH WHY, would you get a PERMANENT TATTOO and it NOT have meaning??????????????????????

Sorry Westie....I have to DISAGREE here with ya.......I got one and it DID warp (which I got fixed immediately) and NO I DID NOT gain 30lbs.....lol....But ANY artist will tell you to wait JUST IN CASE....Every BODY is different in that department...

They hurt, dont let anybody tell you different. Some not so bad, and some like you're on the verge of telling them to stop. Its all part of the "experience".

Westy, I too am sorry that you don't have many friends because of gas. Next time, don't eat so many beans.
Get maximum value if you have a tattoo on you behind. Like the letter M on each check so when you drop your drawers you spell MOM and when you stand on your hands upside down in the buff you spell WOW.
