Credit Crunch

How is the so called resession hitting you ?
House prices on the down, fuel prices high as the sky, wages under inflation rate, jobs going to the wall etc.
Myself it has not affected me one bit except fuel costs.
New car sales in uk are down 42% but that means people want 2nd hand cars or refurb the one they have, As a body repairer car restorer my earnings are going well.
How and what is affecting you and where on the globe are you ?

The most obvious for me is fuel cost but I made a decision long ago to not complain about it if I wasn't doing anything about it like driving my car less and I am not.

Food costs are higher but I made a decision to not complain about it if I wasn't doing anything about it like eating less and I am not.

Decling real estate prices have not caused me any grief but on the plus side my son recently bought a home for a price that was less than 50% of what the home sold for in 2005.

My biggest gripe is the rising cost of health insurance which I pay, currently $858US per month. Inflation and being a middle-age man in transition to being an old man are equal culprits.

Thank God it doesn't cost a penny to surf here at Discuss Fitness.

The food prices are going nutz but other then that it's not hitting me at all.
I work 2 miles from home no problem taking the bike or a jog.
I only use the car to hit the comic book shop once a week and that's only a few miles away. I would bike that to but sweat and comic books don't mix well LOL

Pierini that is monster jacked payment for medical insurance, we in uk get free medical attention, well free it seems but we pay national insurance on wages to compansate it.
Then we get poxy immigrant from eastern europe draining our system for free.
I would cycle to work Jaster but my garage is 140 miles from my home DOH!

I don't think it's affecting me that much. I drive a small car, so gas has gone up, but not a whole lot. Food prices are going up too, but there's not much that can be done about that.

On a side note, my grandma and I went out to a play on Thursday night, and all the bars and restaurants were busy. On a Thursday! So we Americans are in a recession, but still have money to go out and eat and drink. We have recessions in this country like nobody else!

Increased Food costs
Increased Petrol costs
talks of wage decrease.

whats annoying me is my shares in stock market are not performing anywhere near they should as institutions are now wary to invest.

However nothing I can do about it so dont and wont complain and if everything does go belly up im sure i will find an area to exploit it from
