Dangerous teenagers

This headline caught my attention making me glad that I was a teenager in the 1970s.

The only risk I faced was getting my face slapped.

yeah i saw this article as well. pretty much disgusts me. i was actually having an argument with a girl friend of mine about how its the kids' fault and they need to curb their sexual activity and be more responsible and she blew up at me! i dunno, i'm glad that i don't go looking around for sex on any given night but it seems as though thats what its about for most teens these days.

My g/f is a substitute at a middle school right now and she tells me how these 12 year old girls come to school dressed as skanks, one was drawing on another's chest the other day, showing off to the boys, etc. WTF? NOTHING like that happened in my school, not even in high school 12 years ago.

yea, Lucas county and our Neighbor Wood county, 5 year ago were in the top 10 counties for highest STD, and AIDs count, and Lucas County was #1 in Teen pregnancy....... believe that.

its impossible to find a quality g/f around here, unfortunately now I have a strong opinion that all girls are sluts, as wrong as that sounds... guys are just as bad dont get me wrong. but I feel its a guys nature to prowl around for sex, women on the other hand should have mor cooth and class then what they do, at least around these parts. Theres no such thing as commitment anymore, trying to make things work thru the good and bad, its that self control thing I hate how people dont possess... ughh ill stop, I could go on forever about this...

I'll take a gander and say it's been the same the last 100years, just a change in style is all.

I'm sure all the kids were having sex at young age in early 1900's, what happened in later-1900 is the country started getting more populated, hence more people to have sex, making the suburbs not seem so innocent anymore,(back then their was no one "to do" plus parents were able to keep tighter leashes, however they still "did it") cause it's always been in the cities, and oh yeah, the disease back then was "syphillis" (sp?) everyone was dieing from that.

I completely disagree. It hasn't been at all the same the last 100 years. Yes people were having sex in 1908, but not nearly in the kind of numbers that we're talking about now. Also, 100 years ago there was a nearly universally held idea that this kind of behavior was wrong, and if somebody turned up pregnant or with a disease there were social consequences for it. Nowadays it's not even surprising, it's even expected. We even have publicly funded systems specifically set up to deal with these teen pregnancies, since everybody takes it for granted that it's going to happen. I'm a High School teacher - we have the regular High School, and also the "Independent High School" for kids who have needs the regular school isn't meeting - it may be that they have a crappy home life or a history of trouble with the police or substance abuse, or else they're pregnant. This is right in the mission statement of the school - "pregnant students, or those with children." The point here is that a government agency, in the form of the school district, has been set up specifically to accommodate teen pregnancies. Since this is after all the world we're dealing with, it's a good thing that we are set up that way - but no freaking WAY did you EVER find that level of social acceptance in 1908. Back then it wasn't called a politically correct thing like "teen pregnancy", it was "being in trouble" - and that name is quite descriptive. Once upon a time, a pregnant 14 year old was in huge trouble, not so much any more.

Can I also say, back then people werent sporadicall f!!!ing each other in public any where they wanted to , becaz they have no care in the world. back then there wasnt 30 clubs in the city known for women dressing very skimpy, and a lot of times perform lude sexual acts in the club or bar. are society accepts very crude behavior now, its acceptable for a woman to go out with a G-string, and a super miniskirt, and a tube top with nothing underneath, and let some random guy video tape a shot under your skirt of your camel toe, or just flash them all the goods.... This aint even teenagers any more...at age 19 theyre just learning this, and then they go on to live like a club/hoe for the next 10 years of there life. so pretty much my assumption is, 95% of women arent trust worthy til about 30-35

thats sad. I really dont wanna wait that long to settle down and be with some one.

man.............right now in Jamaica the popular trend among the students is to film a sex video in school. The video is taken via cellphone and distributed via internet. It is the norm for us to hear about students having sex on public transportation, in bus parks or wherever they think they want to have sex. The young people these days treat sex as if it is a play thing, the blame is placed on the easy access of porn on the cable and internet.
