Dumb blonde joke
This just in:
A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.
"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."
Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"
"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!'" "I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"

Gymgirl has an axe to grind with blondes because they get all the attention at Norstroms and she doesn't. Right gymgirl?

wow you have a great memory pierini. that is one reason, it also stems back to elemenetry/middle and high school. i grew up in a pretty much caucasion (sp?) town, so the white girls with blonde hair and blue eyes always got the guys. us brunettes with tan/mocha skin got made fun of. the boys always loved the blondes...thank goodness women like halle barry, jessica alba, thandie newton and tyra banks came along

It was THAT bad ?
Personally while I find all types of women attractive, to be trully gorgeous a woman HAS to be a brunette. Tina Fey, Elizabeth Hurley, Aishwarya Rai.....

it was pretty bad at times. maybe worse as i am not white, so mostly it was racial jokes, but they are hurtful and can make a young girl feel ugly...unfortunately those hateful words can stick with you for a long time too.
i always wondered if this obsession for blonde hair blue eyed girls was a due to the fact that men were conditioned to find that attractive based on the influence of media? now that more ethnicities are being featured prominently in the media, are guys finding those women more attractive? i swear it wasn't until halle barry and tyra banks became so popular (not saying i think i look like them or anything, but they are women most guys found hot that were not white) that guys ever gave me the time of day. it's like a light went on or something and they thought..."ooooh even girls that don't look like pamela anderson can be attractive" lol sorry i just kind of went off there.

Having grown up as a " blonde hair blue eyed girl" I neither had the boys nor the attention. I had a big nose and bad skin to go with it. Guys are/were only interested in one thing and I had those too so you really weren't the only one missing out on what we were brought up to think was important. I kept good marks in self defense.
As you can see now, we all tend to grow into swans. Some sooner than others. Your photo shoot invitation is evidence of that.

High school can be rough. I'm embarrassed to acknowledge that I was on the dishing it out side of cruel and mean remarks to many high school girls, and I had alot of company with my buds.
Some of the high school trophy babes had too much too soon and blossomed into adult tubbies. Then there were those high school sticks who turned into hot chicks as adults. Many a high school Joe Popular hunk has gone to a high school reunion sporting a big bald head and a super-wide puss-gut with a pack of franks look on the backside of their neck only to be shocked that the high school stick they ridiculed and ignored is now some super-fine lady.

good joke pierini! I like blonde jokes. I was blond for a while, blond and blue eyed lol : i am a natural brunette and have returned to it, mainly out of pure laziness.. (having roots retouched blah)
As a teen i think i was just average looking, brown hair blue eys freckles... i was not a 'stunner' or hideous by any means. I went to an all girls school but was neither frail enough nor fashionable enough to be anything but average. Even now laziness means that i rarely look my best, i dont wear makeup, do my hair or wear high heels often.
I don't know any natural blondes at all really.

I never had a preference when dating. As it turned out did date mostly blondes for some reason. However, I married a Brunette.

oh i meant to add that I too think that the most beautiful women are usually brunettes.
jessica alba was beautiful back when she was in Dark Angel : now she is a blond beanpole and though still beautiful, she has lost the allure she had as a slightly curvier brunette.

gymgirl i would have thought that because you were different (had darker skin) this would have made you more attractive to the boys. I can only imagine, had a beautiful girl like you showed up in a mixed school here that the boys would be very interested.
