Eagles Release Jeremiah Trotter

hey guys, i for one was crushed to hear when i woke up today and heard MLB Jeremiah Trotter was released, i mean i'm a huge eagles fan and everything and i mostly agree with most of the moves they make, but this could be a horrible move if Omar Gaither gets hurt/doesn't play well after he had a solid rookie season, there's just no depth behind him. anyways i'm sad to see the "Ax-Man" go, he was a fan favorite and he is still my favorite linebacker......he will be missed...........

This is becoming commonplace in the NFL now. Teams are now looking to get rid of established stars who have played their hearts out for the team for years and replacing them with younger and cheaper alternatives. The Patriots are especially famous for doing this.

Yeah but look what happened last time they cut him. He went to Washington and sucked. Then came back to Phili where he should have stayed in the first place. They are hoping to shore up that horrible run defense. All they needed to do was stop the run against N.O. but they couldn't. They might get him back if he can't find a system he can play in. Besides a would be more upset if the got rid of Dawkins.

Agreed. Brian Dawkins is a beast! I love his biceps pose after he lays a WR out!

Even in the lose last year to the Saints. The highlight of the game was the first play when Dawkins unloaded on Reggie Bush.

Have you seen Brian Dawkins arms? I wonder what his workout routine is like.
