Global warming

Yes what a topic, Is global warming man made or a natural system ?
Now before you answer, think and be real, not just bang an answer in without thinking.
I think its a natural occurence that happens every 100 thousand yrs or so.
Did we not have an ice age yrs back ? what melted the ice ?
Global warming
The government of today just play us on green tax as a spoof tax.
They think we are fools and most of us are, we pay the tax (yr jacked)
Land and sea will move and devide, continants will grow and shrink.
There is only so much water on this earth so it cant flood the entire planet.
Yes if the polar ice caps melted it would be very watery, but never has in the history of our globe has it been a water world.
Now we seek noah and the ark.
Another biblical fable boasted over the yrs.
Like i told a friend i can push 100lb to look good he told next pal he knew a friend that could push 110lb and so forth.
Its a bragging effect with biblical stories

Sure, it's a natural occurance. And it actaully causes ice ages. In fact, we had one end only a little over 200 years ago. It had been a small one, only about 500 years long. Our earth has spent much more time cold than warm over it's history. Then it warms up, gets tolerable, gets too warm, has another ice age... Watch some discovery channel if interested. Great explanations there, and often they are somewhat accurate.

And yeah, man made stuff is very likely speeding the process up...but still it's going to happen no matte what we do.

Yes, due to weakening of ocean currents and there ability to move heat from the equator to both poles as tempatures rise.

Our earth has spent much more time cold than warm over it's history.
Not true. the first recorded ice age was only 2.3 billion years ago and within that time frame their have been many warm periods. The earth itself is around 4.5-4.6 billion years old according to a large majority of scientists today.

And yeah, man made stuff is very likely speeding the process up...but still it's going to happen no matte what we do. A rise Co2 concentrations have been proven to be linked directly with warming, But the fact is none can calculate what 6billion people poluting the earth will do in the long run.
Please correct me if i'm wrong here...

I think it is a combination of things. First, yes, it is natural but I do believe that the burning of carbon based fuels is helping speed up the process. Second, the thing about all the methane released by cows is a joke. Think about it -there used to be millions of bison on the planes before whitey came along to transform the so called new world in to a giant wasteland of fast food joints and malls.

I also think that in the grand scheme we do need to be more careful with the envoirment. I think we are at a breaking point and if we cross that line it may be impossible to reverse the effects.

Like George Carlton said once global warming that's nothing in the end when the earth is tired of humans it is going to shake us off like a bad case of fleas. Think about it.

it's crazy to think about but the fact that we are speeding up the process does save us from the ice-age, however then we may be underwater?

and I agree with your bottom statement personally I always think (just to be thinking crazy) our evolution (humans) have been at this stage before somewhere in time, maybe we flew and lived on other planets while the earth was underwater, then after the ice-age we came back and mated with the surviving species??????????

maybe mars was like earth, and we speed up the global warming?

but I'm sure some "brain" can tell me this isn't truth LOL, cause I really don't study it.

Natural cycle. We're definitely not helping the problem, but our impact on the grand scheme of things is very minuscule. I'd be more concerned about another black plague of some king or a nuclear fallout instead of earths' warming trend of 7/10 of a degree every hundred years.

I guess it is possible that global warming is a natural occurence, but even if thats true, we definitely aren't helping.

Some nice answers here, i do like a good questionable thread.
I think before the global warming gets us and world war will do us all in.
Some pr--k somewhere will release a viral attack and we will all dry up and die.
Keep it going boys un girls

I lik ewhat goose said. I think Global warming is a farce anyways. Everytime I hear people talking about it in the media, i later hear some scientist that seems unbias say that over the last 100 years or so the average temp has increased like .01 degrees lol.

Read up on how volcanoes are effecting global warming. Humans are just a blip on the radar compared to what volcanoes do.
