Great Scenes in Film

So the Mrs. was out of town for the weekend so I went nuts renting old awrd winning movies I had never seen before. I'm a movie fanatic, so I almost felt guilty that I had never seen these. I watched "Raging Bull", "French Connection", and my favorite of the weekend "Deer Hunter".

For anyone who has seen "Deer Hunter", I believe that the russian roulette scene in the POW camp (the whole scene, not just the final part), was one of the greatest scenes I've ever seen in a movie. I was so involved with what happened at every moment, and the acting and tension was second to none.

What other scenes do you guys consider the greatest? Please stick to dramatic scenes if you can (not goofy comedic scenes), but any are welcome.

EDIT: Also, the final torture scene in "Braveheart" was incredible. I myself was almost about to yell "Mercy!" to the screen.

I like some older movies as well. A classic to me is the fight scene in "Cool Hand Luke". Paul Newman was fighting Big George Kennedy and would not "stay down"....Many classic lines and scenes in that movie... "what we have here is a failure to communicate, some people you just can't reach"......

I could mention some great "scenes", but its probably not appropriate on this forum

Before anyone yells at me, let me just point out that maverick had the hots for a torture scene
