"Hey there! It's your birthday!! It's your birthday!!" (For the intended affect, sing those two lines back to back while simultaneously dancing in one spot, and make circle movements with your arms as you jump for joy).

It's not original but it seems like "your birthday" is the most opportune time to whip it on out!

Thanks a lot! Hmm pigged out on some wendys, lol, cheese fries, french bread sticks, and a chocolate shake, won't overdo it though, rest of the day fruits and veggies, maybe a few beers later, might go clubbing, which I haven't in yearrrrrs

Think its time for a detox soon, ima do another apple cider vinegar and prune juice flush, then apple juice to scrub the colon, then probiotics and roots, roots are herbs and stuff that I boil as a kind of 'tonic' sarsapiralla shizandra berrt goji berry etc etc ;D

Thank you all...and jomo, I hope yours was a great one.

Mine was spent sleeping since I worked a very busy 36 hours right before.
But at the moment I turned 43 I was doing what I love, actually providing medical care to a methamphetamine overdose with hypertensive crisis, a blood glucose of 1400 plus, tachycardia... etc...

Doing what I am supposed to do and loving it. The 26...a nice relaxing, enjoyable day and yes, I ate cake. Hey, it was carb loading day...take full advantage...cake, ice cream, oreos crumbled in my ice cream... made me stronger in the gym the next day ya know.

Goodness V, your "day" that you spend doing that which you love which happens to be multi-tasking lifelines in crisis situations and do it like you have eight arms and move at warp speed,...kinda makes our little 4-alarm fire, house burning down, burn victims being rushed out with EMS along with other injured parties and firetrucks working around the clock,....dayum, that's just a walk in the park for you, isn't it?

I feel like such a pansy!

No dear. I only do the patient care part. Someone else has to put out the fires. My days as a firefighter are over...just can't take the heat...literally. Last house fire I went inside on, I got waaaaayyyyy too hot and my legs didn't want to work right after that. Know when to push and when not to... this is one of the "NOT TO" things.

However, doing what I love at the moment I turned 43 was pretty cool, although I didn't realize the time until later (a little busy just then). Hitting the gym the next day and having a great workout was pretty cool too... and actually having abs (better than last years) was great... and having a trainee place 2nd in a bodybuilding contest right about the same time was even more awesome...actually getting to see visible results in someone I taught is a great feeling.

However, I'm afriad there will be no 44 year old abs. My focus is turning further and further from the physique aspect and to only fitness and strength...I'm willing to carry a little body fat to be stronger (no more than 10 or 12 percent though)... and I've got a triathlon goal for my next birthday (again) along with a couple more PL meets on the way... to do both is going to take an ungodly amount of food. I'm up to 3400 calories a day right now spread over 5 meals...and as my weight goes up...so will my energy/calorie requirements.
