I am very proud of my wife

If pro-life topics bother you then this thread is not for you. My fellow administrator and moderators, if this is inappropriate for this forum, please take it down, I will understand.

The 40 Days for Life Campaign is a nationwide effort in progress with 89 cities in 30-something states joining forces in prayer and fasting for the end of abortion. The city I live in, Sacramento, is participating in this largest pro-life mobilization effort in the history of America, and my wife is a co-director of that effort.

In the past, we have had posts at this website about how proud members are about something their spouse has done or accomplished. While most examples are fitness and health related, I'd like to share this following video of what my wife is doing that has made me very proud of her.

YouTube - 40 DAYS FOR LIFE - Sacramento

Thank your Momma for choosing life for you. You are the best example that pro-life is the only way to go. Honor your parents by living a healthy and fit life!

Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum

You should be proud. I too am very pro-life even though I will NOT tell any woman what she must do with her body. I've been known to strongly encourage life, adoption, even raising one child that was not mine who everyone else the mother knew was trying to push her into an abortion.

When I've spoken to your wife on the phone I could tell she is a very devout, sincere woman. And although our faiths and belief systems are WAY different I completely give her a big : for her integrity and for what she does. Please pass this on to her.

So even though reading this and replying to this makes me feel like a bit of a hypocrite because of last week when I actually talked my best friend into one to save her life and paid for it to be done yesterday I give your wife kudos for her hard work. Medically, there was no choice because of where it was at but still it's hard to go along with it when you believe like I do and she does. She actually was going to give up her life to avoid "murdering" the unborn. Then when she finally realized that when she died it would die too, she agreed to have it done.

I think our own viewpoints are irrelevant here. You should be very proud of your wife. Most people in life think they have convictions until they are put in a position to act on them. Then people turn lazy or willfully ignorant. We are all guilty of this at some point. In this case she stepped up, and no matter what the cause, I always respect conviction.

Plus, this is 1000 times more effective than the sick people in Pittsburgh who stand by the road sides with 10 foot posters of bloody, aborted fetuses. I'm all for awareness, but what do you tell your kids when they are subjected to that?

V and Mav made some excellent points. Personally I was drawn to your subject title of being proud of your wife....and THAT made me feel even more encouraged to read. It's always nice to know there's someone out there supporting your efforts, especially when they are challenging, diverse, highly charged issues.

As Mav said, what our personal belief system is has less to do with the credence of our replies as much as how proud WE are of you BEING proud of your wife (if that made any type of fluid sense).
