So Ash Wednesday today means only 3 meals for me.
Its now 12;00 and i have been up since 5.30 and i am starving. I actually cant concentrate Im so weak with hunger.
Lunch is in half an hour. Its going to be fish and chips and a bag of peanuts hopefullt that 1200 cals or so will keep me going till dinner at 6.
So is anyone else on any sort of fast today?

Semi-fast. No meat which is tough because I don't like fish. Mostly eggs & cheese for me today.
I know pierini is fairly strict on this.

My family would kill me if they knew what I ate today.
I was raised catholic but somehow it just never stuck. In any case, keep drinking lots of water, it usually helps me with hunger.

My mom instilled major catholic guilt in me so its strictly veggie for me today. Although if you honestly forget I don't think its bad....but its when you knowingly do it that's more a sin I think...if your trying to follow it that is.

i didnt eat any meat yesterday : got my protein from egg whites, cheese and yogurts. Oh and some whey. It was tough though, it just goes to show how much i rely on meat for my protein.

I ate 2 very small meals yesterday to fulfill my Lenten obligation on Ash Wednesday, for a total of 791 calories. Quite frankly, it wasn't that difficult, much to my surprise. I think eliminating cakes, cookies, candies, ice cream, chocolate, crackers and chips from my diet has helped as those foods ignite my false hunger buttons.
Plus I'm getting "older" and with that comes a stronger mind and better discipline. You'll have your turn one day Maxgain.

Well I managed it anyway.
i think I got in about 2000kcals in 3 meals.
For those who may think that was not cutting much that is nearly half my normal daily intake and was not the food types or ratios i would like.
To be honest it was a small bit of a relief to be off chicken, Im a bit fed up of it.

To all my Catholic DF friends. So that we wouldn't have to worry about a sudden population explosion of rampaging cows I picked up the slack for you guys. I ate steak twice Wednesday. A whole pound.
You didn't get to have chicken either? I had two chicken breasts for ya too.
Some days I have trouble eating. That day I didn't.

Ahh it was just a day. You all survived. And are probably better people for it at the end of the day anyway.
You know, some people have to do it for a month and take it very seriously.
Nonetheless, I'm glad us born again heathens don't have to do it.

You just dont get it do you Andy?
These fasting days are pivotal for us as humans
Have you studied economics?
We need days where meat consumption goes down, the market drops and prices drop and we all get cheaper meat but people like you go and ruin it all.

Sorry.
Gonna eat my steak anyway. If I were to convert, so would my cows. Every Friday and special religious holiday, they'd suddenly become fish.
