There is a time and a place for both. I really like a cave man most of the time. But on those rare occasions (weddings, anniversaries, etc) I could stand to be seen with a cave man that has "dolled" himself up.

i agree with lady c.

on a day to day basis i perfer caveman (but that dosen't mean i like smelly, unkept boys). I like men who take care of themselves but do not look like they put in too much effort.

i dated a guy who i kid you not, plucked his eyebrows more then i did (and i spend time perfecting my eyebrows!) then the killer was i found FOUNDATION in his toiletery bag. ok i am a girl and I don't even own or wear foundation myself. finding that in my boyfriends bag freaked me out a bit. we broke up shortly after. ha.

i've also dated the complete opposite (hippie type) who didn't shower and smelled like patcholi mixed with b.o.....that was interesting as well.

my current b/f is the perfect mix. he is a caveman at heart but can clean up very well, which i love. so caveman it is!

I put both. I don't want my man to be prissy, but please shower at least 3 times a week, and more if you get really sweaty. I love cologne, but just one squirt please, I'm asthmatic.

Basic hygeine=good, primping, not so good.

Hi gymgirl,

If you ever find foundation in my gymbag, I give you permission to shoot me dead!

actually i didn't say that is WHY we broke up, nor did I say i dumped him. we broke up shortly after, due to a LOT of issues. the foundation i found weird, but trust me that was not the reason we broke up. yes i was young, and maybe stumbling across foundation in your b/f's bag and being weireded out is a bit shallow, but honestly it just wasn't working.

oh and one of our MANY issues...he didn't like the fact that i trained hard, benching/squatting etc. so i guess that would make him shallow too?

pierini, LOL!

Whoa whoa whoa. How can you compare a man plucking his eyebrows, using foundation(what is that??), and a tolietry bag(Really, what the hell lis that?) to a woman working hard in the weight room and wanting to achieve her ideal body through hard work and nutrition.

Men don't use foundation or tolietry bags. Only foundation we should be involved with is the foundation of the houses we build. And only "tolietry" men should be worried about is the "toliet" in the bathroom.

I'm beginning to question you, Arbit.

withdrawn - didn't read the boys thread first so my answer didn't apply. I have no opinion on this one.

Sorry Andy,

How a guy grooms is not an issue as long as he's got a personality and can hold a job he has potential. That usually requires someone to be of neither extreme. Whatever a male prude is I guess that's my preference.

I have to say Im considering getting my eyebrows plucked.
They are too bushy and unkept for me.

I also have a toiletry bag with skin preparation scrub, cleaner, moisturiser and night time cream.

Looking at your avatar I'd say that must get expensive!
