Hey, can I borrow your cat for one night?

My rat has decided to become an insomniac. Yeah, it's a rat. Not a hamster, not a gerbil, not a mouse, not a guinea pig...a big Fkn RAT. Pretty smart animal too. Litter box trained and everything. Has a cage to sleep in at night. But now has decided he needs to escape every night, bite me on the nose to wake me up, and curl up on my neck to sleep there.

I got them for a different reason and it turns out that only one was needed after all. The one we have left has become like a member of the family...at least to my daughter, she loves the nasty little thing; bathes him every day, makes sure he's got lots of food and water, and takes pretty good care of him.

I'm going to hate to shoot him. But one more "nose nibble" at midnight I suspect my house is going to be full of 12g holes. Maybe a cat visiting for a little while that is an insomniac too would encourage him to stay in his cage at night?

I too prefer my fangs and claws to NOT be from house pets.

PS: You know I gotta ask, don't you? .............a rat? I'm all for ecclectic tastes, believe me, but I dare say this one eludes me.

Getting rats wasn't my idea. Actually went to get a python, chinchilla, ferret, or whatever...then the rats were just so friendly and playful...my little one fell in love with this one. Mine died. Hers is going to if he doesn't stop biting me on the nose.

And about midnight nibbles, love 'em...
...just not from a rat.

And Maxgain, I've only eaten one cat in my life. Just one, that's all. And it was with BBQ sauce, not salsa.

What do you expect with drunk 17 year olds carrying guns? Something's gonna get shot and eaten.

I have a cat you can have, for free, actually I might even pay you to take it.............damn thing hates me with a passion but loves my fiancee.

I bought a dog but the cat chases him.........so I've accepted defeat at this point.

Andy's almost young enough to be my son so I am taking a fatherly approach in mentoring him to be a middle-age man.

One day, some of us old coots, especially the crazy old guys with moustaches will have to teach you some new tricks that you are too young to know yet.

...on second thought, maybe not. I may just share my secrets with only those very special ones who are about the same age...or even a tiny bit older so they can handle it
