while the patriots are playing better right now, i have to say the colts just because they won the superbowl last year right after beating the patriots, and are yet to be beaten since. until someone takes them down, they are the class of the NFL.

That reason has no logic. The Patriots are currently a dynasty. The Colts have won it once. But let's forget about what's gone on in the past and look at things this year. Look at the QB numbers. Brady is setting records this year, doing much better than Payton is.

Objectively speaking as I'm not a fan of either team, the Patriots are definitely the better team right now.

I can't wait to see these two teams go head to head in a couple weeks.

The Colts have been overlooked and unappreciated (never thought I would say that, especially when they have Manning at QB) this season because the whole NFL season has been dedicated to the Patriots. They were the biggest story of the offseason (getting Randy Moss), the biggest story at the start of the season (Spygate) and the biggest story at present time (Brady's TDs, undefeated record). All the while the Colts are the defending Super Bowl champions and have won 11 straight dating back to last season. I would like to say the Colts are the better team but the Patriots are so much better than any of the other Super Bowl years and are showing no signs of slowing down. I can't wait for the Nov. 4 matchup between the two.

From the little I hear the Patriots are better though perhaps just more commercialised.

Anyway forget your slow game of NFL and follow rugby.

I am a life long Pats fan. I don't really feel too bad for the Colts since all the years the Pats were winning their superbowls all everyone talked about was the Colts. Oh well fair is fair.

Its true that the Pats are playing out of their mind this year. But watching the Colts last night against the Jags I was very impressed. The Pats have not really played anyone good this year so far. The Cowboys are good but there is a big difference between NFC and AFC.

The game on Nov 4th is really going to prove a lot. I am not so certain that the Pats will win. It could come down to the wire. I have not really seen the Pats D put up a dominate hard hitting performance against a good team like the Colts D did against the Jags last night. The defences are going to be the key to this game.

The game on the 4th is going to be awesome. It's true that it's opposite this year colts are defending superbowl champions, have won 11 straight etc. and everyones talking about the Pats. Opposite in past years. I don't know what it is, but I just don't like the Pats lol. For me to consider the Colts the "better" team though i guess they'd have to at least make it through to another superbowl!

See I grew up with the Pats. I lived through 85 and again in 96. So this run has been pretty fun for me as a fan. I can see how people would be sick of them. I get sick of hearing about how other teams are so great if I don't root for them. The media really makes it so that unless you live in the area or are a fan of a sucessful team you begin to hate them. They just way overhype everything.

It funny becuase the things that a lot of people hate about the Pats or Bellicheck are the very things we love. I love the fact that the coach never gives a straight answer to the media. When you really thing about the questions they ask what should anyone really say? The truth is obvious. They just want to hear someone admit it or catch them saying something controversial to write a story. He doesn't give them a story. I like the fact that the coach of the team is always in control and always focused on football.

I like...neither.

I hate football. Always did. Even when I played, although I enjoyed playing I hated to watch it.

(and I hate the fake football that the rest of the world mistakenly plays...the one we call soccer too).

Why in the hell then am I going to a high school football game tomorrow night?

New England was really running up the score yesterday, and the week before too really. That's just unsportsmanlike! Not to mention they got caught cheating earlier this year!!!

It's the NFL! There is no such thing as running up the score! They are pro's who get paid millions to play. At your job does your company ever go easy on a competitor or put out an inferior product so they don't hurt the other guys feelings? It may be a game but it is also a business.

If the other team doesn't want them to score then they should try stopping them.

Many ask why they keeping passing saying they should just run the ball and punt. Well is it fair to your starting RB or any of the backup RB's to send them into a situation where the opponent is stacking the line with 8 defenders to plow them back? They would get pounded play after play and perhaps risk injury. So you need to keep the defense honest by continuing to pass so that they will keep defenders back in coverage. Again if they don't like it then stop them.

Where were all the cries of running up the score when the Rams were the "greatest show on turf" or when Manning was still throwing TD passes late into games when he was going for the TD record.

When it comes to the pro's I can honestly say I have never ever considered any of the blow victories by any team as running up the score. If it was pop warner or high school I would but not the pro's.

Well I'd say the same about manning going after the record too. It's probably what Brady wanted to do too! They're pretty close to the highest ppg too. I totally agree with not just running the ball and punting that's stupid and boring lol. But what happened to taking the starters out? When they were playing Miami they took brady out, but miami scored so they put him back in to get another TD lol. Didn't seem to serve much purpose!

Well I tend to agree with the removing the starters thing and I'm usually wanting Brady out a lot soon then he is. However, the coach doesn't like to treat some players as stars and some as lower than stars. He's often said he prefers to keep the starters in all game win or lose. He has also kept Brady in games when the Pats were on the losing side of the blowout.

If you think about it so far this year Brady and other starters could have been removed at halftime in almost every game this year. Then what do they do when they actually need to play a full game and can't because they are not in full game condition. That is why they increase the work load over the first 3 preseason games. To get the guys conditioned to play a full 60 minutes. If you bike you may be able to ride 50 miles but you can't ride the same pace for 100 miles unless you train for it and build up to it. He would be putting the team in a bad spot to condition the starters to only play a half a game.

Bellicheck says when you are ahead you need to think how could we lose this game and make sure those things can't happen...blocked punt for TD, onside kick, return for TD, turnover for TD, etc.

True enough on the conditioning. But this far into the season I think it could help to give them a break. Although it's true you wouldn't be seeing them being pulled if they were losing - everyone would have a hey day with that.

While this is true the last couple games especially they weren't losing lol. They stomped all over the other team!

Bellichick is upset about getting caught and labled as a cheater earlier in the season over Spygate and this is his way of sticking it to the NFL. Just wait until the Patriots play the Jets. I bet they'll try and score 100 on them if they can!
